Youth Ministry |
|
Our church works with young members in the church and the
youth in the community to foster the principles of a work
ethic and education. We encourage the youth to pursue
education as a means to secure employment and have greater
career options. The church instills a sense of self-pride
and self-respect in young people so that they are better
equipped to avoid the devastating socio-economic ills
affecting our youth today. We also encourage the young
people to join the church family in service on Sundays as a
means of greater spiritual enhancement. The young people
aged 21 and younger are organized into auxiliaries similar
to the regular church administration. This provides the
youth with the opportunity to get a richer understanding of
Christianity and to receive the training necessary to run
the church in the future. Children are not required to
accept Jesus Christ to participate in the youth programs
however, through encouragement and enrichment most do. On
the third Sunday of each month the Youth Ministry are
engaged in our Morning Worship Service. We also have many
extracurricular activities for our youth throughout the
year. |
